NEW YORK : August 4, 2026 : Leagues Cup is back, IMO oddly placed considered we had a cup of coffee return to MLS after World Cup 2026, but Leagues Cup is nevertheless here again. And it’s still awesome. 36 teams from North America battling it out across Canada, the US & Mexico for another trophy. With that in mind, let’s revisit the top 10 most unforgettable, jaw-dropping, and legendary moments in Leagues Cup history (IMO anyway). And let’s face it, you’re probably not here to what I have to say but rather to look at clips. And there’s ZERO wrong with that. Let’s roll.
1. Messi’s 94th-Minute Free-Kick Winner vs. Cruz Azul (2023)
You simply cannot talk about Leagues Cup lore without starting with the ultimate Hollywood script.
