For the second time this season, the PLL record for most goals in a game has been tied.
During the California Redwoods’ 16-14 win over the Utah Archers, Dylan Molloy tied the PLL record with seven goals. This comes after Mac O’Keefe also scored seven goals in a game on June 5.
Trailing 12-10 heading into the fourth quarter, California came from behind, outscoring Utah 6-2 in the final frame, including a two-point goal from Chris Kavanagh.
Molloy led the Redwoods with nine points, while Kavanagh finished with three goals and a two-point goal for five points.
Leo Johnson led the Archers with four goals, while Sam King had a hat trick and an assist for four points.
At the faceoff dot, TD Ierlan got the better of Mike Sisselberger, winning 19 of 31 draws.
As expected, it was a goaltending duel between Brett Dobson and Dillon Ward. Dobson stopped 18 shots for a 54.5 per cent save percentage, while Ward made 15 saves for a 53.6 per cent save percentage.

The Archers responded right back. King scored at the 4:49 mark and struck again at 8:57 to tie the game 2-2.
