The Victoria Shamrocks got four goals from Zach Manns in an 8-4 win in Game 5 of the 2026 WLA Finals at The Q Centre in Victoria on Sunday evening. The Shamrocks and Adanacs were tied 4-4 going into the third period, but Victoria shut out Coquitlam in the final 20 minutes to stave off elimination. The Adanacs still lead the best-of-seven series three games to two, and have another chance to clinch their spot in the Mann Cup on Tuesday night, when Game 6 takes place in Coquitlam.
Matthew Delmonico scored at 4:59 to get the Adanacs on the board first. Brodie Wade (15:11) responded for Victoria, but late goals from Adam Noakes (15:39) and Jalen Chaster (17:10) left the Shamrocks trailing 3-1 after the first period. Zach Manns opened the second period (1:25) to cut the deficit to 3-2, but a goal from Kean Moon (8:14) put Coquitlam up by two once again. However, the Shamrocks would tie the game on a second goal from Manns (13:12) and a marker from Kyle Pepper (15:23).
Shamrocks shut out Adanacs in third, keeping Mann Cup hopes alive
Victoria’s run would continue into the third period, starting with a power play goal from Marshal King (8:50). Luke Pilcher (11:29 extra attacker) extended the Shamrocks lead to 6-4, then Manns scored back-to-back (13:24; 19:21 shorthanded) to put the game out of reach. Surprisingly, the Adanacs outshot the Shamrocks by a 49-42 margin. Shamrocks goaltender Chris Origlieri made 44 saves in net, earning 1st Star of the Game, while Manns (4g, 2a) took home 2nd Star. Moon (1g, 2a) earned 3rd Star honors for Coquitlam.
