
A seven-goal third period powered the Coquitlam Adanacs to their first win of the season — an 11-3 victory over the Langley Thunder on Saturday night.
Andrew Gallant got the start in goal for Coquitlam and stopped 32 of 35 shots in the win, including all 10 shots he faced in the first period.
Brett McIntyre led the way for Coquitlam with a hat trick and three assists, while Adam Noakes contributed two goals and four assists.
Langley’s three goals came from Nathan Lam, Aiden Baker, and Dylan Kinnear. Caleb Khan started in goal, allowing 10 goals on 44 shots. He was relieved late in the game by Marcus Khan, who stopped three of four shots.
The win moves the Adanacs to 1-2-1, putting them back in the mix, while the Thunder drop to 3-2.
All Adanacs in the First
The Langley Thunder couldn’t find the back of the net in the first period. Brian Simmons opened the scoring for Coquitlam at 5:18, followed by McIntyre at 7:33.
Coquitlam rounded out the first-period scoring at 8:05, with Riley Isaacs converting off a feed from Dennon Armstrong to make it 3-0.

Thunder Get on the Board
The Adanacs extended their lead early in the second period, with McIntyre scoring at 4:02.
Langley responded with a two-goal run. Kinnear scored at 6:05 to make it 4-1.
Nathan Lam added another for the Thunder, scoring unassisted with 1:23 left in the period, cutting the lead to 4-2 heading into the third.
Adanacs Dominate Third Period for First Win
It didn’t take long for Coquitlam to strike in the third. McIntyre scored just 58 seconds in to start a three-goal run for the Adanacs.
Jalen Chaster added two more, scoring at 4:09 and again at 6:53 to make it 7-2.
Aiden Baker scored what would be Langley’s final goal at 8:31.
Coquitlam closed the game with a four-goal run. James Rahe started the surge with a power-play marker at 10:29.
Noakes scored his first of the game just 1:09 later to give Coquitlam a six-goal cushion. Jack Royer followed with a goal at 12:48 to make it 10-3, ending the night for Thunder goaltender Caleb Khan.
Noakes capped off the scoring with 6:35 remaining, sealing the Adanacs’ first win of the season, 11-3 over the Langley Thunder.
