Playoffs Week 4

“Muffler” Mike Kostiuk:

SASK @ BUF Game 3

Buffalo. This series has been everything the league needed, and the  Bandits’ quest for a three-peat has been at the center of it all. Saskatchewan has been a worthy opponent, but the facts of the matter are:
– Robert Church will show up, but so will either Josh Byrne or Tehoka Nanticoke, who have both been largely invisible this series
– The Bandits defense will recover from their lapses (both mental and physical) in Game 2
– Not one person from Banditland will be setting a pick on Jake Boudreau (this is actually the most important fact listed here)
– Matt Vinc is not just playing for legacy and history, but the chance to delay retirement one more year – that only happens if Buffalo wins.

Shawn Slaght:

Buffalo vs Saskatchewan (Game 3)

Pick – Saskatchewan

I’m going to be a homer and go with the upset. I just feel there is something special about this Rush team. The amount of belief and confidence they are playing with will be hard to match. Bold predictions: Frank Scigliano has a big game and finally silences his critics, and the Buffalo defence keys in on Austin Shanks opening up Robert Church for a big night.

Gary Groob:

Saskatchewan vs. Buffalo Game 3

Saskatchewan wins.

I could take the easy way out and pick the Buffalo Bandits and would be very satisfied with my choice.  I would win the pick’ems, and the Bandits are the definite favorites to three-peat.  What fun is that?

Saskatchewan has earned the respect of the league this series, if not this whole season.  They match-up well with the Bandits in every category, and surpass them in a few as well.

1. IF the Rush can stay disciplined, and let Buffalo take penalties, this could go their way.

2. If they can get to Matt Vinc early again, they could take Banditland out of the equation

3.  When you are severe underdogs, there is no pressure…you have already exceeded expectations, but there are enough veterans on the team to not be satisfied with just making it.

4. If Buffalo gets ahead, will they have the CHARACTER to bounce back?

5. They MUST play a full sixty minute, hard fighting battle, leaving nothing in the reserve tank if they want to raise the cup!

Caden Balint:

Buffalo vs Saskatchewan (Game 3)

Pick – Saskatchewan

I said it on the show and I want to stick with it, I’m going with the Rush. While this could backfire because betting against Buffalo always backfires but Shawn said it, there is something about this Rush team that makes me believe in the upset. And with the possibility of Robert Church finding his game in the biggest of them all, makes me believe. LETS GO RUSH!! 🟢⚫️
