Week 3 picks:
“Muffler” Mike:
Vancouver vs. Oshawa
Vancouver. Oshawa is averaging just 5 goals per game over their first three games of the season. The only thing that will win is the #1 draft pick in 2026.
Philadelphia vs. Rochester
Rochester. I was impressed with Philly’s effort in their opener, but even more impressed with the clinic Rochester put on in San Diego last weekend.
Georgia vs. Saskatchewan
Saskatchewan. I don’t expect to see the same sort of collapse out of the Rush as we saw in Ottawa last week. The Swarm have looked decent in both their games, but the offense can’t solely be Lyle Thompson and Shayne Jackson, even if both are former league MVPs
Ottawa vs. Las Vegas
Ottawa. I feel that the Black Bears turned a corner last week with their comeback victory, while Las Vegas needs more time for their new-look lineup to gel.
Shawn:
Vancouver vs Oshawa
Pick – Vancouver
We saw last week exactly what Vancouver is capable of when they are firing on all cylinders. For Oshawa, the offense has completely gone missing. A struggling defence against CDB means bad news.
Philadelphia vs Rochester
Pick – Rochester
Philadelphia thoroughly impressed me last week. Defence looked strong and they showed a ton of athletic ability. However, this is a much more difficult opponent in Rochester. Up and down there aren’t many weaknesses to this Knighthawks team.
Georgia vs Saskatchewan
Pick – Saskatchewan
An interesting matchup. The biggest factor is whether Saskatchewan can put together a full 60 minutes and avoid another fourth-quarter meltdown. They are the better team if they can, and I think they will right the ship.
Ottawa vs Las Vegas
Pick – Ottawa
This Vegas team has left me scratching my head. For all the off-season moves, they looked very pedestrian in their first action of the season. Goaltending is still a question mark, and when Ottawa’s offence will take advantage.
Gary:
Vancouver vs Oshawa
Vancouver wins.
A team that has trouble scoring vs. a team that scores at will. Oshawa’s power-play has been anemic this season, once again. With Christian Del Bianco in net for Vancouver, this could look eerily like week two against Halifax.
Philadelphia vs Rochester
Rochester wins.
Both teams looked good in their week one games. However, I think Rochester is primed for their best season in years. With wave after wave of offense, I think the Knighthawks will pressure the Wings defense all night.
Georgia vs Saskatchewan
Saskatchewan wins.
While Georgia is strong, Saskatchewan is a very complete team. The only issue with the Rush is their inability to play sixty minutes yet this season. If they play from start to finish, they win!
Ottawa vs Las Vegas
Ottawa wins.
I really liked the resilience of the Bears last week. While the Dogs are revamped, I am still not convinced on their goaltending. This could set up to be the game of the week.

Pat:
Vancouver vs Oshawa
Oshawa
Philadelphia vs Rochester
Rochester
Georgia vs Saskatchewan
Saskatchewan
Ottawa vs Las Vegas
Ottawa
Caden:
Vancouver vs Oshawa
Vancouver-
For some reason, it seems like when the FireWolves left Albany, they left all their offensive skill in the 518. With how strong the Warriors look to start the year. I have to choose them.
Philadelphia vs Rochester
Rochester-
The Knighthawks quickly established their offensive and defensive game in the first of the season. While Philly was able to pick up what most of us would call a shock win, unless they are on their full game, I see it as almost impossible for the Wings to take this game.
Georgia vs Saskatchewan
Saskatchewan-
The Rush had a rough collapse last week, and I would be shocked if that happens again. As mentioned above, Saskatchewan is the better team and if they can lock down their defensive game, they will be a hard team to contest against this year.
Ottawa vs Las Vegas
Las Vegas-
The Dogs were not barking last week as I predicted, and while it seems like they still need time to work on their game with the new additions, I STILL AM BACKING THE DAWGS, LET THE DAWGS BARKKKK.
