Week 13 picks:
“Muffler” Mike:
Colorado vs. Toronto
Colorado. Same deal as last week – the Mammoth are white-hot, with all aspects of their new dynamic offense clicking, and Dillon Ward playing arguably the best lacrosse of his career.
Buffalo vs. Vancouver
Vancouver. After losing an OT thriller last week, the Warriors will be ready to take it out on the Bandits, who looked weary despite ending a four-game skid last week.
Halifax vs. San Diego
San Diego. The Seals still have something to prove as they start to gel. A once-promising season is slipping away for Halifax.
Saskatchewan vs. Philadelphia
Saskatchewan. No, this will not be a trap game following a nail-biting win over Vancouver. The Rush stay ahead of everyone for home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.
Shawn:
Colorado vs Toronto
Pick – Colorado
The injury to Nick Rose is proving to be a big one. Troy Holowchuk is a good goalie, don’t get me wrong, but he isn’t to the point where he’s a full-time starter. Colorado is rolling right now and they know they need to win to keep within striking distance of first place.
Buffalo vs Vancouver
Pick – Vancouver
Despite Vancouver losing in OT last week, I think they are still a force to be reckoned with. Buffalo needs to start to find an answer because they look far from the three-time champs.
Halifax vs San Diego
Pick – San Diego
Halifax is on the edge of playing for next season. There are players that don’t look interested and discipline is still an issue. San Diego is finding its stride and look for Chris Origlieri to have a big game in goal.
Saskatchewan vs Philadelphia
Pick – Saskatchewan
Two teams going in completely opposite directions. The Rush are a well-oiled machine and everyone knows their place on the roster. Philly looks lost and no one seems to have a defined role. Unless Nick Damude has the game of his life, this game could get out of hand.
Gary:
Colorado vs. Toronto
Colorado wins.
I would love to say the Rock will take the back end of the home and home! However, the hottest team in the league is Colorado and I don’t think it changes this week. The Mammoth are clicking in all facets, and this will make it very difficult for Toronto to overcome.
Buffalo vs. Vancouver
Vancouver wins.
While the Bandits finally won last week, they blew a huge lead. This is very un-Bandits-like. Vancouver is another team that has finally found their mojo. This could get out of hand if the Bandits defense isn’t on their game.
Halifax vs. San Diego
San Diego wins.
The Seals have been more organized lately. The scoring is coming from more than just Wes Berg. Chris Origlieri looks to be healthy again, and has been playing very well in the Seals net. Halifax is the opposite. Having trouble everywhere lately. They must be disciplined if they hope to win this game.
Saskatchewan vs. Philadelphia
Saskatchewan wins.
The class of the league this season. Until someone knocks them off, I think this is the team to beat this season.

Pat:
Colorado vs. Toronto
Colorado
Buffalo vs. Vancouver
Vancouver
Halifax vs. San Diego
San Diego
Saskatchewan vs. Philadelphia
Saskatchewan
Caden:
Colorado vs Toronto —
Pick: Colorado
Colorado’s been solid all season with depth and better goaltending, while Toronto still feels like it’s figuring out its identity despite the hype around its new young pieces. The Mammoth’s experience usually shows in tight games.
Buffalo vs Vancouver —
Pick: Buffalo
Buffalo’s the defending three-peat champs with confidence and firepower that keeps coming back, and while Vancouver can light up the scoreboard, the Bandits just find
a way to win the crunch moments.
Halifax vs San Diego —
Pick: San Diego
San Diego’s offense has been scoring in bunches and looks more consistent, whereas Halifax has talent but hasn’t quite put it all together this year, so I’d give the edge to the Seals.
Saskatchewan vs Philadelphia —
Pick: Saskatchewan
Saskatchewan has been one of the more complete teams this season with strong veterans and defense, and Philly’s struggles on that side of the ball make me lean hard to the Rush here.
