Caden………………40-31  .563
“Muffler” Mike…40-31  .563

Week 14 picks:

“Muffler” Mike:

Georgia vs. Philadelphia

Georgia. A goaltender with a GAA around 7.00 versus the team that ranks dead last in shots per game…the Swarm cruise to another win.

Saskatchewan vs. Buffalo

Saskatchewan. The Rush finally get some payback for the second half of Finals Game 3 last year. Not time to panic just yet in Buffalo.

San Diego vs. Colorado

San Diego. The Seals have been perfect on the road this season, and are putting it all together. They triumph in a close contest.

Vancouver vs. Las Vegas

Vancouver. The Warriors build more momentum after last week’s win as they prepare for a revenge game.

Oshawa vs. Ottawa

Ottawa. The FireWolves offense will spring to life again in this game. However, Ottawa will capitalize on a rare chance to simultaneously jump up in the standings and jump up on the 2026 draft board as well.

Saskatchewan vs. Rochester

Saskatchewan. We’re at the point where not even a stretch of three games in seven days can’t stop this juggernaut of a Rush team.

Buffalo vs. Toronto

Toronto.Correction: NOW it’s time to panic in Buffalo.

Philadelphia vs. Georgia

Georgia. Same logic as the first game.

Halifax vs. Calgary

Calgary. Both teams are struggling, but at least the Roughnecks:
1) look interested
2) play disciplined

Vancouver vs. San Diego

Vancouver. The Warriors exact some revenge for their home loss to the Seals earlier this year, and stay firmly in position for a Top 4 seed and first round home playoff game.

Shawn:

Georgia vs. Philadelphia

Pick – Georgia

Brett Dobson has been playing out of this world, and they spell trouble for a team that is struggling to score like Philly.

Saskatchewan vs. Buffalo

Pick – Saskatchewan

Do you think the Rush will have a chip on their shoulder from last year’s final? Saskatchewan will have something to prove and extra motivation.

San Diego vs. Colorado

Pick – Colorado

San Diego has drastically improved since the beginning of the season. I expect this to be a close one, but I don’t think Colorado wants to lose more ground from first place.

Vancouver vs. Las Vegas

Pick – Vancouver

Defence and goaltending still scare me for Las Vegas. Adding Kevin Crowley will help the offence but doesn’t help the weaknesses. Vancouver will exploit it.

Oshawa vs. Ottawa

Pick – Ottawa

The Black Bears have had their struggles, but they can turn it on when they have it. I still can’t put my finger on what is wrong with the Firewolves. Also, every aspect has been struggling.

Saskatchewan vs. Rochester

Pick – Rochester

I’m going out on a bit of a limb. This is a long road stretch for the Rush. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see Thomas Kiazyk play some time in goal, and while he is very capable, he’s still a young goaltender. If the Rush go with Scigliano, I’m not sure how much he’ll have left in the tank.

Buffalo vs. Toronto

Pick – Toronto

I really like how the Rock match up against the Bandits. Toronto has the youth to wear down this aging Buffalo team.

Philadelphia vs. Georgia

Pick – Georgia

Same as above. I can’t see Philly solving a problem like Brett Dobson.

Halifax vs. Calgary

Pick – Calgary

Lately Halifax has looked uninterested and penalty troubles continue to plague them. Calgary may be struggling but you can at least see the effort and discipline.

Vancouver vs. San Diego

Pick – Vancouver

Again I expect a really close game. However, I still don’t think the Seals are quite at the same level as the Warriors.

Gary:

Georgia vs. Philadelphia

Georgia wins.

I think the Swarm defense is just too strong for this Wings team, they will have trouble scoring a lot of goals.  Offensively Georgia has been getting better and better, this game could be over early.

Saskatchewan vs. Buffalo

Saskatchewan wins.

Last year’s finalists are going in opposite directions.   While the Bandits are coming to the end of a dynasty run, the Rush are just beginning.   Saskatchewan is just too deep for this Bandits team.

San Diego vs. Colorado

Colorado wins.

While I think this could be the game of the week, I lean slightly to the Mammoth in this game.  Losing to Toronto last week has put an even bigger hunger in this Colorado team.

Vancouver vs. Las Vegas

Vancouver wins.

While Vegas is a formidable opponent, I just don’t think they match up very well with the Warriors.  Look for Vancouver to expose the Desert Dogs defense.

Oshawa vs. Ottawa

Oshawa wins.

I think the FireWolves hit Rock Bottom their last time out.   Pride and talent will come to the forefront in this game.  Look for Zach Higgins to be very busy in the Black Bears net.

Saskatchewan vs. Rochester

Rochester wins.

The Knighthawks are rested and at home.  This will be the Rush’s third game in six days.  This will catapult the Knighthawks into the playoff conversation.

Buffalo vs. Toronto

Toronto wins.

A tired Bandits team will have another rough night.  This time the younger Rock lineup will run them all over the floor.  Look for this to be a very physical game as well.

Philadelphia vs. Georgia

Georgia wins.

The first game would’ve been rough for the Wings, I don’t think this game will be any easier.

Halifax vs. Calgary

Calgary wins.

I lean toward Calgary as the home team.  I think the Roughnecks are the more disciplined team, and that will be the difference.

Vancouver vs. San Diego

San Diego wins.

I really like how the San Diego team has become resilient.   Look for Ben McIntosh, Wes Berg and Dylan Watson to all have big games in front of the home faithful.

Warriors

Pat:

Georgia vs. Philadelphia

Georgia

Saskatchewan vs. Buffalo

Saskatchewan

San Diego vs. Colorado

Colorado

Vancouver vs. Las Vegas

Vancouver

Oshawa vs. Ottawa

FireWolves

Saskatchewan vs. Rochester

Saskatchewan

Buffalo vs. Toronto

Toronto

Philadelphia vs. Georgia

Georgia

Halifax vs. Calgary

Halifax

Vancouver vs. San Diego

Vancouver

Caden:

Georgia Swarm vs. Philadelphia Wings

Pick: Georgia Swarm —

Georgia just feels like the steadier group right now; they don’t beat themselves with bad possessions, and their transition game can flip momentum in a hurry. Philly has the talent to make it interesting, but if this turns into a composure contest late, I trust the Swarm to execute cleaner down the stretch.

Saskatchewan Rush vs. Buffalo Bandits

Pick: Saskatchewan Rush —

This one screams heavyweight fight, but Saskatchewan’s depth and ability to score in waves gives them a slight edge. Buffalo is always dangerous, especially in tight games, yet the Rush have looked like a team that can win in multiple ways — shootout or grind-it-out.

San Diego Seals vs. Colorado Mammoth

Pick: Colorado Mammoth —

Colorado tends to drag teams into their kind of game, where every inch feels earned and space disappears quickly, and that style can frustrate a rhythm offense like San Diego’s. If the Mammoth get solid goaltending early, they’ll make the Seals work for absolutely everything.

Vancouver Warriors vs. Las Vegas Desert Dogs

Pick: Vancouver Warriors —

Vancouver has been trending upward with more balanced scoring and fewer defensive lapses, which is huge against a Vegas team that feeds off chaos. If the Warriors stay disciplined and control possession, they should be able to slowly pull away instead of letting it turn into a track meet.

Oshawa FireWolves vs. Ottawa Black Bears

Pick: Ottawa Black Bears —

Ottawa feels a bit more structured offensively, and that matters in a matchup where extra possessions could swing the game. Oshawa competes hard, but if this comes down to shot quality and late-game execution, I like Ottawa’s chances.

Saskatchewan Rush vs. Rochester Knighthawks

Pick: Saskatchewan Rush —

The Rush just roll lines at you until something breaks, and that constant pressure can wear a defense down by the fourth quarter. Rochester will have stretches where they look sharp, but over 60 minutes Saskatchewan’s depth usually shows.

Buffalo Bandits vs. Toronto Rock

Pick: Buffalo Bandits —

This rivalry always feels personal, and Buffalo tends to thrive in those high-emotion, high-volume environments. If it’s tight late — and it usually is — I trust the Bandits’ veterans to make one or two clutch plays that end up being the difference.

Philadelphia Wings vs. Georgia Swarm

Pick: Georgia Swarm —

Even on a quick turnaround, Georgia’s system travels well because it’s built on patience and smart shot selection rather than forcing hero ball. Unless Philly finds a way to speed them up and create transition chances, the Swarm should be able to dictate tempo again.

Halifax Thunderbirds vs. Calgary Roughnecks

Pick: Halifax Thunderbirds —

Halifax brings a physical edge that can slowly wear down opponents, especially in games that stay within a couple goals most of the night. Calgary can absolutely explode offensively, but if the Thunderbirds control the middle of the floor, they’ll tilt the balance their way.

Vancouver Warriors vs. San Diego Seals

Pick: Vancouver Warriors —

I like Vancouver in this spot because they’ve shown they can adjust mid-game if their first plan isn’t working, which is huge against a creative offense like San Diego’s. If they limit transition chances and win the loose ball battle, they should have enough scoring to finish it off.
