Week 9 picks:

“Muffler” Mike:

San Diego vs. Philadelphia

San Diego. The Seals continue to right the ship, and maintain road dominance to offset their early season woes at home.

Vancouver vs. Ottawa

Ottawa. The Black Bears took a significant step towards being considered legit Cup contenders last week. They cannot afford to let crumble the momentum they’ve just built.

Georgia vs. Toronto

Georgia. Both teams bounced back big last week, but it came at great cost for the Rock, losing Nick Rose. Brett Dobson will shine again for the Swarm as they continue to get in sync.

Oshawa vs. Colorado

Colorado. The Mammoth only look better now that Andrew Kew has returned to the offense. The Oshawa offense has awakened, but unfortunately the FireWolves will find themselves on the wrong end of another close game.

Shawn:

San Diego vs. Philadelphia

Pick – San Diego

This could be a very close game in my opinion. I have to give the slight edge to the Seals as I think they are just a team that hasn’t played up to their potential. Meanwhile, Philly is feeling their way through as guys try to figure out their roles.

Vancouver vs. Ottawa

Pick – Vancouver

Yes, Ottawa is on the upswing, while Vancouver isn’t living up to its potential. I’m going against the grain a bit. I think there is too much veteran talent and too much talent behind the bench for the Vancouver team to stay down for too long.

Georgia vs. Toronto

Pick – Georgia

Honestly, this pick may have been different if Nick Rose hadn’t gone down with an injury. Not to say Troy Holowchuk can’t get the job done, but he isn’t quite at the same level as Rose. I’m also taking into consideration that the Swarm finally found their footing last week.

Oshawa vs. Colorado

Pick – Colorado

Dillon Ward is looking like the Dillon Ward of old, and that’s bad news for the rest of the league. Jack Hannah has been a huge addition, and they are showing they can get the job done even with Ryan Lee out.

Gary:

San Diego vs. Philadelphia

San Diego wins.

San Diego looked to fix what had ailed them.  Philadelphia needs to tighten their D and resurrect the O for a chance to win.

Vancouver vs. Ottawa

Vancouver wins.

Christian Del Bianco can steal you a game.  That’s what will happen in this match.  The Vancouver offense comes to life as well.

Georgia vs. Toronto

Toronto wins.

Toronto had a real character win last week.  They build on it against the inconsistent Georgia Swarm this week.

Oshawa vs. Colorado

Oshawa Wins

The FireWolves got a lot tougher this week.   The scoring came back the last couple of games as well.  If they can have a solid week on defense, they could silence the “Loud House”

Mammoth

Pat:
