Boushy Scores Four As Brooklin Rolls Over The Rock

The Brooklin Lacrosse Club (2-1) traveled west to face the Oakville Rock (0-1) in Major Series Lacrosse action Monday night at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre.

The goaltending match-up had Steven Orleman in net for Brooklin facing Troy Holowchuk in net for the Rock

The Brooklin Lacrosse Club scored early and often against the Oakville Rock Monday night.   Led by Chris Boushy (4g,0a) and Adam Perroni (3g,2a), Brooklin controlled the majority of the game getting stronger as the game went on.  For the Rock, Josh Dawick (2g,3a) and Sam LeClair (1g,2a) led the way.

Steven Orleman made 50 saves in the victory, while Troy Holowchuk made 49 saves in the loss.  Brooklin won convincingly 13-5.

To The Game:

Brooklin got an early jump when Chris Boushy converted a Jake Darlison pass at 1:28 to open the scoring, but Josh Dawick responded with a sidearm snipe to the far corner off a Carson Moyer pass at 2:37.

Owen Wills restored the Brooklin lead with a blast off an Eddie Renaud pass at 4:38, followed by Chris Boushy with his second of the game off another Renaud feed at 9:29.

Zane Dalpe got one back for Oakville with a low to low shot that beat Steven Orleman at 14:28, but Eddie Renaud restored the two goal lead with an outside shot off a Luke Keenan pass at 18:56.

Burnaby

Second Period:

The Brooklin squad continued where they left off in the first.  Jacob Hickey opened the scoring with a bounced shot off a Justin Lee pass at 1:30, followed by Jake Darlison with a goal in transition off a Jacob Hickey feed at 5:52.

Sam LeClair got the Rock on the board wiring a laser to the top corner off a Josh Dawick pass at 7:09, followed by Josh Dawick’s second of the game from in close off a Carson Moyer feed at 8:09.

Adam Perroni increased the lead with a blast off a Will MacLeod pass at 9:51, followed by Sean Westley with a a low to low shot off a Perroni pass at 13:29.

Ty English kept Oakville in the game with a high to low shot off a Josh Dawick pass at 13:57, but a shorthanded goal from Will MacLeod restored the four goal lead for Brooklin at 16:54.

After two periods, Brooklin 9 Oakville 5.

Third Period:

Alexis Simard opened the third period scoring with an unassisted marker at 11:05, followed by Adam Perroni with a transition goal off a Jake Darlison pass at 12:18. 

Chris Boushy then scored a pair of goals 0:31 seconds apart at 13:28 to break the game wide open.

Final score, Brooklin 13 Oakville 5.

Shots on goal favored Brooklin 62-55.
