The Boston Cannons get back a much-needed win over the Philadelphia Waterdogs, after dropping 3 straight games to Carolina, New York, and Denver. Boston did a great job of mixing up and moving the ball around in their offensive zone. Giving Philly’s defense and their goalie, Matt DeLuca, a tough day on the field. The Cannons are unloading all sorts of firepower in this game. Asher Nolting had 3 goals on the day, and Will Many had 3 assists for the Cannons as well. Boston put the Waterdogs in a hole for 3 quarters of this game. Philly tried to come back in the fourth quarter, shutting out the Cannons, but the game was too far out of reach, with Boston winning 13-10.

CJ Kirst has strong showing in loss to Cannons
Everything looks to be all lost in the Waterdogs’ world, dropping 3 straight games to fall below the .500 mark. But there are some positives to take out of all this. Michael Sowers put up a hat trick, and top 2025 draft pick CJ Kirst went right to work on his brothers Connor and Colin, and the Boston Cannons’ defense. CJ had a strong showing, putting up 5 goals on the day, getting the loose change, and scoring on his brother Colin. Making some big-time offensive plays for Philly.
However, Philly will be facing the New York Atlas this upcoming Saturday at 1 pm in a must-win game. The Waterdogs will clinch a playoff spot with a win, or if Boston loses both of their Homecoming Weekend games, or if the Maryland Whipsnakes lose (Maryland and Boston play each other in the late game Saturday). Philly needs to pull out all the stops here to make the postseason. Its going to be a tall order dealing with the Atlas offense, we shall if the Waterdogs can get the job done.
