Denver Summit FC is adding another young international talent to its roster, acquiring Cameroon forward Naomi Eto from French powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain for an undisclosed transfer fee.
The club announced the move Wednesday, with the 21-year-old signing a contract through the 2027 NWSL season with a team option for 2028. Eto is expected to join the Summit in the coming weeks pending receipt of her P-1 visa.
Eto arrives in Colorado following a memorable summer on the international stage with Cameroon.
A regular in the starting lineup during the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, Eto recorded a goal and two assists during Cameroon’s championship run. The title marked the country’s first WAFCON championship and secured Cameroon a place in the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Her arrival gives Denver another attacking option with experience well beyond her age.
Eto began her professional career in Cameroon with Amazone FAP before emerging as one of the country’s top young prospects. She gained wider international attention during the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, scoring three times in four appearances while captaining Cameroon.
The tournament was historic for the African nation, which reached the Round of 16 in its first appearance at the U-20 Women’s World Cup.
Eto’s performances helped earn her the 2023-24 Female Cameroonian Ballon d’Or and eventually opened the door to European club soccer.
After making eight appearances for French side En Avant Guingamp, Eto signed with Paris Saint-Germain midway through the 2025 season. She later moved to Sassuolo on loan, gaining significant playing experience in Italy’s Serie A.
Eto appeared 22 times for Sassuolo, scoring three goals and adding an assist.
Now, Denver will look to make the 21-year-old part of its developing core as Summit FC continues building its identity in the NWSL.
The signing also represents another move toward the international market for a Denver organization looking to establish itself quickly within the league. Eto brings experience from France and Italy along with significant international tournament experience for Cameroon, despite still being in the early stages of her career.
Her combination of age, attacking ability and international résumé gives Denver a player who could contribute immediately while continuing to develop over the next several seasons.
Eto will join a Summit side that has already shown flashes of significant attacking potential during its inaugural campaign. Her arrival provides another option in the final third while adding a player who has already performed on some of women’s soccer’s biggest youth and international stages.
Before she can make her NWSL debut, however, Denver will have to wait for the completion of her immigration process.
Once her P-1 visa is received, Eto is expected to make the move to Colorado and officially join her new teammates for the remainder of the 2026 campaign.
