The Peterborough Lakers (11-5) traveled west to face the Owen Sound North Stars (7-9) in Major Series Lacrosse action at the Eddie Bush Memorial Arena in Collingwood, Ontario.
The goaltending match-up had Nick Rose in net for Peterborough facing Kaleb Martin in net for the North Stars.
Although Peterborough got off to a good start, a strong second period put Owen Sound firmly in the lead. It looked as though the North Stars were headed for a regulation time victory, but late goals from Jeremiah Wade, and Adam Thistlewaite with only 0:04 seconds remaining sent this to overtime.
In overtime, after almost an entire period of end to end action, Greg Elijah-Brown, in his first MSL Game after being called up, buried a Jackson Webster feed from in front for the victory. Owen Sound defeats Peterborough 10-9 in overtime.
To The Game:
The Lakers jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead when Braedon Saris converted an Adam Thistlewaite pass at 5:29, followed by Justin Sykes also finishing a Thistlewaite feed at 6:45.
Owen Sound stormed back with Braydon Mayea wiring a sidearm snipe off an Isiah Moran-Weekes pass at 7:12, followed by Adam Ross with a transition off a long lead pass from Kaleb Martin at 9:53.
Isiah Moran-Weekes gave the North Stars their first lead with a blast off a Greg Elijah-Brown pass at 12:06, but Braedon Saris, and Nick Fournier answered for the Lakers to give them a one goal lead at the break.
After one period, Peterborough 4 Owen Sound 3.
Second Period:
Liam McGrath tied the game with a great individual effort off a loose ball unassisted at 9:08, but Michael Blaymires replied for Peterborough at just 0:22 seconds later to restore the one goal lead.
Owen Sound controlled the last portion of the period potting three unanswered goals. Isiah Moran-Weekes finished a Braydon Mayea feed at 14:17, followed by Jackson Webster converting a cross crease pass from Moran-Weekes at 16:31. Mayea then added one himself with a low to low laser off a Josh Rosa pass at 17:27.
After two periods, Owen Sound 7 Peterborough 5.

Third Period:
The Lakers got within one when Lucas Fraser scored off a broken play in transition unassisted at 11:01, but Jackson Webster answered with a high to low blast off a Josh Rosa pass at 11:26.
Alex Pace again brought the Lakers within one again, only to have Tyler Halls score in transition unassisted at 16:12.
The Lakers got close with a Jeremiah Wade goal off a Dylan Hutchison pass at 18:00, followed by Adam Thistlewaite with a goal from in front with just 0:04 seconds remaining off a Braedon Saris feed.
After regulation, Owen Sound 9 Peterborough 9.
Overtime:
After almost an entire period of scoreless play, Greg Elijah-Brown converted a Jackson Webster pass from in front at 9:31 for the victory.
Final score, Owen Sound 10 Peterborough 9.
