Four Each From Kearnan and Boushy Lead Brooklin To Victory

The Oakville Rock (1-5) traveled east to face the Brooklin Lacrosse Club (5-2) Wednesday night in a rematch from last week’s 13-5 loss in Oakville. This game took place at the Iroquois Park Sports Complex in Whitby, Ontario.

The goaltending match-up had Landon Kells in net for the Rock facing Zach Higgins in net for Brooklin.

Connor Kearnan (4g,4a) and Chris Boushy (4g,2a) led the Brooklin Lacrosse Club to a convincing 13-5 victory over the Oakville Rock.  Zach Higgins returned to Brooklin strong as ever making 48 saves in the victory. 
Ty English (2g,0a), Tye Argent (1g,1a), and Tyler Hendryks (1g,1a) were bright spots for Oakville, who altogether fired 53 shots on the Brooklin net.   Landen Kells had a good night in the Oakville net stopping 41 of 54 Brooklon shots.

To The Game:

The Brooklin squad got off to a quick start with four goals in the first half of the period.  Will MacLeod opened the scoring with a laser off a Connor Kearnan pass at 2:41, followed by Sean Westley with a blast off a Nicholas Volkov feed at 3:23.

Brooklin continued the pressure with MacLeod scoring his second of the game off a sharp feed from Connor Kearnan at 6:16, followed by Chris Boushy finishing a Sean Westley pass from in close at 9:21.

After one period, Brooklin 4 Oakville 0.

Second Period:

Josh Dawick finally got the Rock on the board with a sidearm laser to the corner off a Zane Dalpe pass at 0:44 seconds, but Brooklin answered with Connor Kearnan scoring from in close off a Michael White pass at 1:05.

Kearnan continued his hot night getting the next two goals.  Tanner Cook found Kearnan for a quick stick at 5:37, followed by the same combination hooking up for another tally at 8:46.

Tyler Hendryks ended the Brooklin four goal run with a power-play marker off a Tye Argent pass from the outside at 9:47. 

Chris Boushy answered for Brooklin with a beauty from in close at 14:01, followed by Connor Kearnan’s fourth of the night off a Boushy feed at 17:47.

After two periods, Brooklin 10 Oakville 2.

Third Period:

Oakville came out flying in the third period.  Ty English opened the third period scoring with a blast off an Eion Mackay pass at 2:20, followed by Tye Argent with a low to low shot off a Tyler Hendryks feed at 5:24.  Ty English then got his second of the period off a Jack McAlpine pass with a sweet move in close at 6:59.

Brooklin exploded with three late goals to seal the deal.  Brady Kearnan blasted a Taggart Clark pass at 16:50, followed by Clark himself off a Tanner Cook feed at 17:46.  Chris Boushy added his fourth of the night off a Bo Columbus pass 0:06 seconds later.

Final score, Brooklin 13 Oakville 5.

Shots on goal favored Brooklin 54-53.
