
The Colorado Mammoth handed San Diego its first road loss of the season, coming from behind to down the San Diego Seals 14-12 on Friday night.
The Seals jumped out to a 5-0 lead early in the game. However, they were outscored 8-3 in the second half, including surrendering three late goals to the Mammoth.
Dillon Ward was pulled from the Colorado goal after giving up eight goals. Nathan Whittom came on in relief and stopped 25 of 29 shots to pick up his first NLL victory.
Andrew Kew led the way for the Mammoth with four goals and two assists, while Jack Hannah had a hat trick and three assists as Colorado produced a balanced attack.
For the Seals, Wes Berg had two goals and five assists, while Dylan Watson recorded a hat trick. Tre Leclaire, Zach Currier and Connor Robinson each added two goals.
Chris Origlieri got the start in goal for San Diego and stopped 41 of 55 shots in the loss.
First Quarter
San Diego scored five straight goals to open the game. Watson struck first 1:29 into the contest.
Robinson made it 2-0 at the 3:28 mark, and Leclaire followed at 4:09.
Berg extended the lead to four midway through the quarter, and Robinson capped the five-goal run off a feed from Graydon Bradley at 8:37.
Colorado finally got on the board with 2:19 left in the first quarter on a goal from Dylan McIntosh. Ben McIntosh replied at the buzzer on the power play to give the Seals a 6-1 lead after one.

Second Quarter
The Mammoth began to claw their way back early in the second quarter. Kew opened the scoring at 2:11.
Hannah then scored unassisted at 5:40 and added another off a feed from Will Malcom at 7:04 to cut the deficit to 6-4.
The Seals responded with a three-goal run. Berg started it with a power-play marker at 8:52. Currier converted off a feed from Berg at 9:20 to make it 8-4.
Watson rounded out the run 13 seconds later to extend the lead to 9-4.
Colorado stayed within striking distance. Malcom scored on the power play with 4:11 left to make it a four-goal game.

With 1:08 remaining in the half, Dylan Hess scored his first NLL goal for the Mammoth as the Seals led 9-6 at halftime.
Third Quarter
Leclaire opened the third-quarter scoring at the 3:18 mark, but the Mammoth mounted their comeback from there.
Kew scored a minute later, assisted by Whittom, to make it a three-goal game. Owen Rahn then scored at 6:25 and 7:35 to narrow San Diego’s lead to 10-9 heading into the fourth quarter.
Fourth Quarter
The Mammoth tied the game 2:17 into the fourth quarter on an unassisted goal from Tim Edwards.
The Seals regained the lead, 11-10, on a goal from Currier at the 3:25 mark.
Colorado responded with Kew finding the back of the net at 5:30.
Watson gave San Diego a 12-11 lead with 8:17 left to play, but the game slipped away late.
Hannah scored on the power play with 7:28 remaining to tie it 12-12, and Kew netted the winner with 3:51 left.
Hess added his second goal of his first NLL game with 11 seconds remaining as the Mammoth handed the Seals their first road loss, 14-12.
