
Philly came out swinging early, taking control in a power play situation. The Wings with good ball movement and Joe Resetarits scores a goal. Then Eric Fannell with the set screen play for Brennan O’Neill to get space and get another goal. San Diego goes scoreless in a quarter for the first time this season. Michael Sowers adds to the scoreboard for Philly in the second quarter, beating his defender one on one. The Seals did not help themselves with penalty troubles. Joe Resetartits coming up with a second power play goal. The story of the first half was Nick Damude playing exceptionally well, making some big stops and only allowing one goal as the Wings led 5-1 at halftime.
The second half was a different story. Former Wings player Ben McIntosh finds his way down low for a goal, and San Diego starts battling back. Tre LeClaire with an over the back pass to Ben McIntosh for another goal, cutting the Wings lead down by two goals. The Seals get momentum swinging their way as goals from Connor Robinson and Dylan Watson help to tie the game at 6-6. Philly tried to get up tempo with their offense as another goal from O’Neill put them ahead 7-6. However, the Seals came back to bite them, scoring three more goals in the fourth quarter. The last goal was another power play goal from McIntosh as San Diego comes back to win 9-7.

McIntosh Reminds Philly Of His Game
Ben McIntosh in his season debut put up 5 points against Philly with 3 goals and 2 assists. The Seals will be looking to run it back next week, and this time the game will be in San Diego in this home and home battle against Philadelphia. Eric Fannell, forward for the Wings had 5 points as well with 1 goal and 4 assists. Fannell had some great vision, being very much involved in a lot of scoring opportunities. Philly will need to regroup as their next three games are on the road. Making stops in San Diego, Buffalo, and Calgary. At 1-5, this Philadelphia Wings team will have to figure out how to get out of this rough patch.
