Pittsburgh Riverhounds began their 26th year in the USL on the road at North Carolina FC, their 8th consecutive road opener. With a retooled roster, Head Coach Bob Lilley saw his team go down 1 nil in the 22nd minute, despite owning the early advantage in stats.

The Hounds were able to settle into the game, and dominated the remainder of the first half, despite scoring the equalizer. The second half began in similar fashion, with the Hounds dominating possession, which led to the former Indy Eleven forward, now Hounds forward Augi Williams, breaking through in the 57th minute, with the equalizer drawing even, with NCFC.

The remainder of the match was more of the same, with the Hounds dominating all aspects of the stats and looking like a cohesive unit, despite the new additions. The opportunities were there for the Hounds to score the go ahead goal in the final third of the match, however, the match ended in a draw.

The Hounds are on the road again next week at San Antonio FC and Coach Lilley can’t feel anything but positive with his team’s performance.
