In the 1st half, the Philadelphia Union would host Atlanta United. Both teams are looking to get back into the win column. Both franchises are playing great in their defensive zone. Philly is bringing everything to Atlanta’s doorstep: everything but the finish. The Union is doing a great job, playing lockdown defense. Keeping Atlanta’s offense from getting anywhere near the down low to make a play on Union’s goalie Andre Blake. The Union continues to battle Atlanta United however, Quinn Sullivan finally answers the bell with a pass off his chest that rolls down to his leg and shoots a laser to Atlanta’s net. Philadelphia would keep on bringing pressure, however, Atlanta’s defense is doing an awesome job of breaking up plays.
2nd Half:
The Philadelphia Union quickly hopped on the attack and on the scoreboard. Mikael Uhre makes a quick pass to Danley Jean Jacques, and Danley Jean Jacques then drills the ball into the back of the net. Philly up 2-0. The Atlanta United team is throwing everything but the kitchen sink, but this Union team has stepped up on the defensive side of things. The Union defense has been stellar all game. Tai Baribo would enter the match midway through the 2nd half. Subbing in for Bruno Damiani. Atlanta is getting good quality scoring chances, but nothing is paying off. Quinn Sullivan, with a little bit of spacing, shoots the ball and gets a redirected goal by Tai Baribo. The Philadelphia Union is up 3-0.

The Aftermath
The Philadelphia Union gets back into the win column. Moving to 5 wins, 3 Losses, and 1 tie. In the 5th seed of the Eastern Conference. Quinn Sullivan and Daniey Jean Jacques get their first goal of the season. Tai Baribo gets his 7th goal of the season. Andre Blake gets his 3rd clean sheet of the season. This was Atlanta United’s 3rd time getting shut out as they fell to 2 wins, 4 losses, and 3 ties. Philly will host D.C. United next week. Looking to keep the good times rolling.
