The Oakville Rock (0-2) faced the Six Nations Chiefs (2-1) in Major Series Lacrosse action Tuesday night at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena in Hagersville, Ontario.
The goaltending match-up had Landon Kells in net for Oakville facing Warren Hill in net for the Chiefs.
Josh Byrne and Dhane Smith joined the Chiefs for this game and made an immediate impact. Byrne had a pair of goals, as well as many opportunities, while Dhane Smith resumed his role as quarterback with the team.
Davin Bomberry continued to make a name for himself with another hat-trick, as well as Ryan Smith made his presence felt.
For the Oakville squad, the bright spot once again was Josh Dawick with a pair of goals, as well as Ty English showing off his speed.
Six Nations came away with a dominant 10-5 victory.
To The Game:
The Rock got rolling early when Josh Dawick hit a low to low laser to the corner just 0:28 seconds in, but Davin Bomberry answered quickly converting a Lyle Thompson pass at 1:45.
Shayne Jackson gave the Chiefs the lead with a quick stick off a Dhane Smith pass at 2:29. Ryan Smith then added to the Chiefs lead with a howitzer to the shortside off a Justin Martin pass at 12:27, followed by Dawson Theede from in front off a Ryan Smith pass at 13:49.
Luke Robinson got one more for the Rock befroe the intermission unassisted at 18:00.
After one period, Six Nations 4 Oakville 2.

Second Period:
Lyle Thompson opened the second period scoring with an unassisted talley at 3:47.
Carson Moyer then got Oakville on the board on the power-play off a Sam LeClair pass at 6:54, but Davin Bomberry’s second of the game restored the three goal lead at 7:59.
Josh Byrne added to the Six Nations lead with a low to low laser at 14:19, but Ty English answered going coast to coast off a Zane Dalpe pass at 16:40.
Cody Jamieson fired an outside rocket off a Tyler Biles feed at 17:36, followed by Davin Bomberry’s third of the game off a Dhane Smith pass at 17:57.
After two periods, Six Nations 9 Oakville 4.
Third Period:
Josh Byrne opened the third period scoring with his second of the game off a Dhane Smith pass at 9:59, but Josh Dawick’s second of the game off a Sam LeClair feed kept Oakville pushing forward at 14:56.
