The South Beach Party That The Philadelphia Union Didn’t Plan On Having

The Philadelphia Union would head to South Florida to battle Inter Miami. This would, to me, be the measuring stick game for Philly to see where they stand in the MLS. Unfortunately, the Union did not walk out of Chase Stadium with the win but they walked out knowing they could hang with the current top dog of the eastern conference. The Union came out on the short end of the stick in this game. Daniel Gazdag would find a crack in the wall, scoring his first goal of the season by getting a pass from Quinn Sullivan. Daniel Gazdag’s goal came in the 79th minute. Nothing after that would pan out for the Union. Philly will try to get back into the win column this upcoming weekend as they face the other Florida team, Orlando City. Orlando would be heading into Subaru Park with one thing on their mind and that is revenge from week one. We shall see what happens.

A Well-Oiled Miami Machine

The Philadelphia Union would go down deep into its bag of tricks other than the Daniel Gazdag goal that came into the second half nothing else paid off for Philly. Now you can see why this Miami team is undefeated. Starting with their lockdown defense making things complicated for the Union offense. Oscar Ustari ( InterMiami’s goalkeeper) brought his A-game, coming up with some big stops and the defense that was in from Oscar Ustarti was really good too. After Daniel Gazdag got his goal. Daniel Gazdag would get another opportunity down to score but this time Miami would quickly put Daniel Gazdag into double coverage and that would make things tough for Daniel Gazdag to finish the play. Miami’s defense playing like a weld oil machine.

Taking To School By The Goat.

Philly’s defense knew they were going to have to crank things up by dealing with one of MLS’s top offenses. Inter Miami got on the scoreboard first by moving the ball up the field using great vision finishing the play with Benjamin Creamashi making a quick pass to Robert Taylor to get the goal. Right into the second half in the 56th minute. Luis Suarez would march downfield in a 3 on3 situation Luis Suarez would go to his first option right to Fafa Picult. Fafa Picult would pass it back to Luis Suarez. Luis Suarez would then go to his second option with Lionel Messi. Lionel Messi would take the young defender Ian Glavinovich to school by beating him one on one. Lionel Messi created his own shot and put up Miami 2-0. Miami has yet to taste defeat however next week they into LA to face LAFC in primetime. We shall see if Inter Miami can keep this momentum rocking and rolling or LAFC can be the first to hand Inter Miami their first loss of the season.
