Villanova got off to a good start in the first half of this basketball game. The Wildcats were dominating the first half, taking everything that Seton Hall was throwing at them on defense. Whether the Pirates were trying to put Villanova in double coverage on defense or tough man-to-man coverages, Villanova had a counter punch ready.
The Wildcats’ defensive end is doing a great job of getting rebounds, switching up defensive formations from 2-3 to 3-2 or man-to-man defensive zones. They are doing what they can to keep the Seton Hall Pirates off balance on both ends of the floor. Also, Villanova is getting contributions from the starters and the bench. Wooga Poplar went 2-2 from beyond the arch. Wooga Poplar did a great job of working in and around the paint. With some nice drives to the net and hitting some good jumpers.

Eric Dixon is Moving Like An Unstoppable Juggernaut

2nd Half: Villanova is doing a great job keeping the pressure on; however, Seton Hall is starting to creep back into this game, finding open spacing and knocking down their shots. The Wildcats are making their adjustments on defense, causing turnovers, and have run away with this game. The Wildcats are moving on after beating Seton Hall 67-55. Now, they will face the UConn Huskies. Eric Dixon cranks things up in the second half of this game. Once Eric Dixon got going on offense, he was tough to slow down, with playing bully ball down-low in the paint, getting the mismatches, or just beating the double coverage defense. It didn’t matter what Seton Hall tried to dial up on defense; it just wasn’t enough to slow down the Wildcats

The Ups And Downs Of The Pirate Ship.

The Seton Hall Pirates didn’t have one of their best nights on the big stage. Seton Hall tried to come up with all sorts of answers for the Villanova Wildcats, but there was no momentum to build off of, and just when Seton Hall got into a rhythm. The Wildcats made their adjustments. However, there was a bright spot on this Seton Hall Pirates ship, and that was Isaiah Coleman, who scored  25 points in this game. Isaiah Coleman did an amazing job working down low, making nice cuts to the basket with some floaters. Plus, Isaiah Coleman made a good play off the catch and shoot. We shall see what this program can do next year.
