The WildCats Go Off In South Philly

The Villanova Wildcats exploded in the first half with great ball movement with great spacing and playing extremely well on defense, coming up with great picks.(5 steals)  Doing an amazing job of guarding the pertimer and making Marqutte take difficult shots. Nova continues to shoot the ball very well from 3 point land. Villanova Wildcats doing a great job getting offensive and defensive boards. Giving this Marquette Golden Eagle team all they can handle. The Wildcats are cooking from their starting lineup to their bench. One of things that help benefit Villianova is that Marquette had a lot of fail trouble. Marquette had 19 fails against them. However the Wildcats responded well coming off back to back losses. The Villanova Wildcats deserve a lot of credit on how well they played on both sides of the ball.

Eric Dixon: using his great vision reading what Marquette Golden Eagles were throwing at him having a counterpunch ready whether it’s to find an open teammate or just beat the one on one coverage. Eric Dixon bullied his way down broad st. taking care of business low in the paint  with no problems, putting a total 23 points. Jhamir Brickus also did an amazing job using his vision on how he was going to attack the Marquette defense whether it was to facilitate the ball or create his own shot. Jhamir Brickus was one of the main reasons why Villanova had great success shooting from beyond the arch with 6 three pointers. Jhamir Brickus was an absolute playmaker throughout the course of this game. Kyle Neptune (Villianova’s head coach) had his game preparation well ready for Marquette tonight. You can definitely tell Villanova did their film work and made all the right adjustments. This Wildcats team made sure they put their foot on the gas pedal and never took it off. After the Wildcats losing their last two games prior to this game and just coming out tonight with a nice win. We shall see if Villianova can build off this and continue to build their momentum heading into Seton Hall this Thursday to take on the Pirates.

Not All Is Bad For The Golden Eagles
Just when the Golden Eagles didn’t have an answer for Villanova tonight there were some spots for Marquette. Zaide Lowery went 5 for 5 from the perimeter. Zaide Lowery was very hungry on attacking the basket. Just doing everything he can do to help his team trying to win. Marquette had some success finding some open spots down low in the paint where they had great success. This was one of the toughest losses that Marqutte took this season. Shaka Smart (Head coach of Marquette) after winning two straight games prior to heading into tonight’s game will need to go back to the drawing board and find ways to get back into the win column. It’s going be interesting to see if Shaka Smart can dial up something for Providence come Tuesday night.
