The Philadelphia Get Caught Off Guard
After The Union looked like they were in complete control with great ball movement, moving up and down the field and the Union’s defense looked to have their hand on things. Nashville little after the 13 min mark found a crack in the wall with Samuel Surridge going around two defenders and scoring a goal. Credit Nashville’s defense in their own zone. Philly is bringing pressure to their door step however Nashville is doing a good job of battling off the Union. Nashville looks well prepared for what the Union were trying to dial on offense. 2nd Half – This Union team is doing a great job of time passion with the ball trying to get something going on offense but Nashville is playing tough giving Philly a dose of their own medicine causing Philly to take the tough shots, clogging up their own net with extra protection. I wonder if BJ Callaghan (The head coach of Nashville SC) and the rest of his coaching staff saw something on film that they saw whatever it was Nashville SC did there homework on Philadelphia. Hany Mukhtar would get a penalty kick and make Philly pay the piper. Putting up Nashville 3-1 The Union would get their turn on a plenty kick. Quinn Sullivan would get denied by Joseph Willis (Nashville’s goalkeeper)and that would pretty much wrap this game.

The Philadelphia Union would get a taste of defeat at home getting their first loss of the season falling 3-1 to Nashville. Nashville were constantly on Philly’s heels. Nashville came into Philly with a ship on their shoulder with their huge shutout win over Portland last week winning 2-0 carrying that momentum into Subaru park. Nashville SC now winning back to back games. moving to 2-1-1 on the season. The Union are still in good shape going to 3-1 in this early season.
