ATLANTA — The U.S. Under-23 Women’s National Team will make its first visit to the Arthur M. Blank U.S. Soccer National Training Center in October, bringing an all-NWSL roster to Georgia for a camp that will put some of the country’s top young professionals alongside the senior USWNT.
Head coach Heather Dyche has selected 24 players for the Oct. 5-13 camp in Fayetteville, Ga. The U-23s will train alongside Emma Hayes’ senior squad before the USWNT departs for matches against Spain in Washington, D.C., and Chester, Pa.
The U-23s will remain in Georgia and face the Dominican Republic U-23 Women’s National Team twice, playing Oct. 9 at 5:30 p.m. ET and Oct. 13 at noon ET.
The setup provides another example of the increasingly close relationship between the U-23 program and Hayes’ senior team.
Ten players on Dyche’s roster have previously trained with the USWNT, while eight have already earned senior international caps. Jaedyn Shaw leads the group with 37 caps, followed by Ally Sentnor with 23. Jordyn Bugg, Jameese Joseph, Maddie Dahlien, Mia Fishel, Riley Jackson and Ayo Oke have also represented the senior team.
The roster also includes five overage players: Angelina Anderson, Kate Del Fava, Gia Corley, Joseph and Fishel.
That mix of youth and senior experience comes after a productive 2025 for the U-23 program. Sixteen players who appeared for the U-23s eventually received senior USWNT call-ups when including the January 2026 training camp and subsequent camps this year.
Among the notable selections is Angel City FC defender Savy King, who receives her first national team call-up since suffering a cardiac event in May 2025.
King underwent surgery to address a heart abnormality before returning to Angel City this season. Her comeback was interrupted by a foot injury that sidelined her for four months, but she has since returned to NWSL action.
The camp also features several of the league’s emerging attacking talents.
Houston Dash rookie Kat Rader leads the group with 10 NWSL goals this season, while Shaw has nine and Bay FC’s Karlie Lema has seven. San Diego Wave’s Melanie Barcenas has scored six times, while Sentnor has five. Rader and Gotham FC forward Jordynn Dudley are also among the leading candidates for NWSL Rookie of the Year.
Youth remains prominent despite the presence of overage players. Bugg, Barcenas and Kimmi Ascanio are the three youngest players selected, with Ascanio born in 2008.
Fifteen players have already represented the United States at a FIFA U-17 or U-20 Women’s World Cup.
With the U-23s and USWNT sharing the new national training environment, the October camp provides more than another pair of international matches. It gives Hayes and the U.S. coaching staff an opportunity to evaluate the next layer of the player pool up close while continuing to create a more direct pathway between youth international soccer, the NWSL and the senior national team.
