This is a big time matchup in the MLS Next Pro with the Union 2 sitting at the 1 seed in the conference and CT United FC sitting at the 3 seed. Both teams between Philly and Connecticut showed tons of energy with either defense giving an inch in the early going. Connecticut is looking to make some off of some nice long starch passes. The Union 2 Getting finally finding a hole in Connecticut defense. Kellan LeBlanc makes a nice pass to Mail Jakupovic. Mail Jakupovic finds a hole between CT United FC defenders and unloads a goal to the back of the net. That would end the first half.
Second half:
Union 2 and CT United FC start the second half with a god defensive battle but this time it would be Connecticut midfielder Robbie Mora coming up with a timely bicycle kick that would get Conn on the scoreboard. Now Connecticut spending a lot of time in Philly’s zone during this second half. CT United FC kooks to be reading what the Union 2 is trying to dial up with on offense and having their counterpunch ready. Late in the second half forward Barnabas Tanyi of CT United FC, with some spacing shoots the ball into the corner pocket of the Union 2 net now putting Connecticut in the driver seat of this game and finishing this game 2-1
The Aftermath
CT United goes to 3-0 putting MLS Next Pro on notice. Connecticut will host Atlanta we shall see if Connecticut can keep undefeated streak alive for Philly they’ll have to get ready up north Jersey to face the Red Bulls 2.
