DENVER, Colo. — Denver Summit FC reached a major milestone on Wednesday as players and sporting staff officially moved into the new CommonSpirit Performance Center, a first-of-its-kind facility built specifically to support the health, wellness and performance of female athletes.
The 20,000-square-foot complex in Centennial will serve as the permanent training headquarters for Colorado’s first professional women’s soccer club. Designed with female athletes in mind, the facility features three soccer fields, advanced recovery technology and specialized spaces intended to maximize player performance and overall well-being.
“We are thrilled to officially welcome our players and sporting staff to the CommonSpirit Performance Center,” said Denver Summit FC General Manager Curt Johnson. “This milestone reflects CommonSpirit Health’s commitment to elevating female athletes, as well as the dedication of the many teams whose tireless efforts brought this vision to life. What began as a labor of love has become a world-class facility designed with the performance and well-being of our elite athletes at its core and we have been proud to share this journey with our fans and the broader Colorado community.”

The opening of the performance center comes as the club continues preparations for its inaugural season. Final work is underway at Centennial Stadium, the team’s temporary home venue, which is scheduled to host its first match on July 18 when Denver Summit FC welcomes the Portland Thorns.
Members of the media will have the opportunity to tour the CommonSpirit Performance Center during a grand opening event later this month.
Denver Summit FC is owned and operated by Rob Cohen alongside a group of local and national investors. The club’s mission is to engage Colorado’s diverse communities while striving to build one of the premier professional soccer organizations in the world.
