The Philadelphia Union is continuing their momentum from last week. Under 10 ten minutes and already this Philadelphia Union team records a goal. Philly is doing a great job on both sides of the ball in the 1st half of the game. The Union’s defense is taking everything FC Cincinnati is throwing at them, and Philly is hitting with nothing but counter punches, whether it’s causing FC Cincinnati to turn the ball over or making big defensive stops. Philly did a great job of keeping this Cincy team from getting things rocking and rolling offensively. It took nearly the 60th min. for the FC Cincinnati team to find the back of the net. The head coach of the Philadelphia Union, Bradley Carnell, seems to have dialed up another effective game plan. Now, in back-to-back games, this Philadelphia Union team has a combined total of 8 goals.
Tai Bad Boy Baribo Gets a Hat-trick
Kai Wagner linked up with Tai Baribo for a goal and set the tone of this game. This time, off the rush, it would be Daniel Gazdag linking up with Tai Barbio in the 30th min. for his 2nd goal. Right at the beginning of the second half, Tai Baribo would record a hat-trick. In two games, Tai Baribo has put in 5 goals. The strikers of this Philadelphia Union team are placing themselves in the right places to score goals, and at the tail of the game, Quinn Sullivan would assist Bruno Damiani for his first MLS career goal. Andre Blake (The Philadelphia Union’s goalkeeper) did an amazing job of just being in a zone tonight. Only allowing one goal in the second half of tonight’s game isn’t bad. Andre Blake made some incredible saves. Philly will look to get their 3rd straight win as they head up to face the New England Revolution.
Not What FC Cincinnati Had Planned.
FC Cincinnati didn’t expect to walk out of Subaru Park losing to the Philadelphia Union 4-1. They’re going to have to go back to the drawing board and figure out what happens on their end. Evander DA Silva Ferrerra was the only one who was able to produce a goal for Cincinnati. (In my opinion) I wonder if fatigue played a little bit of a role in Cincy falling to Philly. Playing in the CONCACAF Championship Cup Tournament mixed in with playing their home opener, plus traveling. I could see that taking a toll. However, Cincy will head back home and get ready for more CONCACAF CUP Tournament action.
