The San Diego Seals (5-4) visted the Oshawa FireWolves (2-9) in NLL action Saturday night at the Tribute Community Centre in Oshawa, Ontario on Star Wars night.

This game was a homecoming for both Emerson Clark and Dawson Theede, who joined the FireWolves during their four-game road trip. Theede is from Brooklin and had a successful junior lacrosse career with the Green Gaels Lacrosse Club and Whitby Warriors. Clark is a legend in Oshawa from his time playing hockey for the Oshawa Generals in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).  For San Diego, Tre Leclaire had been firing on all cylinders thus far and was looking to continue that when the Seals put their undefeated road record on the line.

The goaltending match-up had Chris Origlieri in net for the Seals facing Doug Jamieson in net for the FireWolves.

The first half was all San Diego Seals.   Taking advantage of almost every opportunity afforded them, the Seals went 3 for 4 on the power-play, also scoring on a delayed penalty as well.  Oshawa never got going in the half.  Dylan Watson was hot with three first half goals, while Wes Berg (2g,7a) had a six first half points.  Seals were up 9-1 at the half.

Whatever was said in the Oshawa dressing room had them raring to go in the third quarter.   A three goal run gave them some life, until Ben McIntosh stopped the run with a blast late in the quarter.

Thr fourth quarter saw the play go end to end, with both teams having good opportunities. However, the hole from the first half was just too deep to climb out of.   San Diego wins handily 13-7.
