The Calgary Roughnecks (5-12) visited the Oshawa FireWolves (5-12) in the back end of their home and home series, at the Tribute Communities Centre in Oshawa, Ontario.

Oshawa had wins in three of their last four games, most recently a 10-9 overtime win over the Roughnecks in Week 19. Tye Kurtz scored the game winning goal and Alex Simmons led the way offensively with seven points.

For Calgary, Tyler Pace is sitting ninth in NLL scoring with 90 points. Tanner Cook has moved into second in the NLL in goals with 43, just two behind the league lead.

The goaltending match-up had Aden Walsh in net for the Riggers, facing Doug Jamieson in net for the FireWolves.

The Calgary Roughnecks overcame an early deficit and stormed past the Oshawa FireWolves with a commanding 14–7 victory.

Oshawa came out flying, building a 5–3 lead by the end of the first quarter behind strong offensive contributions from Alex Simmons and Tye Kurtz. Their ball movement and quick finishes had Calgary on their heels early, despite a pair of goals from Tanner Cook keeping the Roughnecks within striking distance.

The game shifted dramatically in the second quarter, as Calgary erupted for five goals in a dominant stretch. Transition play and faceoff control—led by Justin Inacio—tilted possession heavily in Calgary’s favor, allowing them to turn a one-goal deficit into an 8–6 halftime lead. Cook continued to drive the offense, while Haiden Dickson orchestrated playmaking with a game-high five assists.

From there, the Roughnecks took full control. They held Oshawa scoreless in the third quarter and limited quality chances despite a high shot total from the FireWolves. Calgary’s defense tightened, and goaltending remained steady, while their offense added six more goals in the second half, including a four-goal fourth quarter, to put the game out of reach.
