New York Dynamo has officially completed a major renovation project at Capital Arena, finishing a full rebuild of Rink 2 after 42 days of construction during the closing stretch of the team’s inaugural NCDC season. The extensive project upgraded approximately 17,000 square feet and represents another major investment by the organization’s ownership group over the past two years.
According to Head Coach and General Manager Ron Kuhl, the renovations reinforce the organization’s commitment to building one of the premier programs in the National Collegiate Development Conference. Improvements include a brand-new second-level viewing area, upgraded weight room, a dedicated NCDC locker room, new dasher boards and benches, along with six-foot glass surrounding the rink.
Construction officially began on March 4 and wrapped up on April 15, with the team’s social media channels showcasing the transformation process online. Fans attending games this fall will experience the upgraded facility when the Dynamo return for the 2026-27 NCDC season, with the upcoming schedule expected to be released in the months ahead.
