The Oshawa FireWolves and Philadelphia Wings battled down to the wire in the first of their home-and-home series, with Oshawa winning 13-12. Oshawa kicked things into high gear early by creating havoc down low in Philly’s defensive zone, putting up 5 straight goals to start the game. Wings head coach Ian Rubel would than make a change at the goalie position from Nick Damude to Deacan Knott. The Wings responded in the second quarter by outscoring Oshawa 7-2 to tie the game up at halftime. It was still tied 9-9 after the third quarter, but Oshawa took control with a 3 goal run early in the fourth quarter. The FireWolves then held on despite two late goals from Brennan O’Neill to make it a one-goal game.
