Timo Werner to RBNY?

Talk has been running through the Major League Soccer channels that 28 year old German Forward Timo Werner might be on his way out of the Premier League and into the 2024 Eastern Conference Champions New York Red Bulls. Werner, who has been seeing less time on the pitch with Tottenham of the Premier League this season with just 30 minutes on average might be getting a fresh start west of the pond as he’s been drawing interest from the New Jersey based club.

Werner, who’s best two seasons came between 2018-2020 when he scored a stellar 44 goals in just 64 matches for RB Leipzig in Germany could be a massive boost to a Red Bull team that was 6th in the East last year with 55 goals.

If this happens, I’ll be interested to see how he would pair up with Lewis Morgan who’s 13 goals last year lead the club. In other quick RBNY news, the club just transferred out 26 year old forward Dante Vanzeir for a 3 million dollar transfer fee to the Belgian club KAA Gent after 6 goals and 11 assists for the Red Bulls

We’ll keep you apprised if Werner ends up coming stateside.
