Two weeks ago, the Philadelphia Waterdogs suffered a brutal 19-5 defeat at the hands of the Boston Cannons. Fast forward to Week 4, and the Waterdogs would exact revenge against the Cannons, firing on all cylinders in a 17-10 win. Philly evens their record at 2-2 and stops their 2 game losing streak. The Waterdogs came ready to feast, and the hungriest dog in the yard was CJ Kirst as he put up a sock trick. Finding ways against his own brother Colin Kirst, who is the goalie for the Cannons. CJ Kirst made great cuts to the Boston’s net to make magic happen.
Credit to the Waterdogs offense for getting into a game plan that completely wore down the Cannons defense, running circles around them as the game went into the later stages. Michael Sowers was a great facilitator, getting 4 points on a goal and 3 assists. Josh Yago got his first career goal plus a 2-pointer, while Kyle Lewis scored his first two career goals in his PLL debut, the first being a nasty behind-the-back goal. Philly now gets to enjoy two weeks off before facing the Utah Archers in Week 6.
KYLE LEWIS ARE YOU KIDDING?!!?!!!

After loss and split with Waterdogs, what’s next for Boston?
Boston falls to 1-3 on the season with the loss, tied with the defending champion New York Atlas for last place in the Eastern Conference. Yes, the Cannons scored five goals in the 4th quarter to soften their change in goal differential, but the damage was already done by the Waterdogs. Mikey Weisshaar and Matt Campbell each getting a pair goals was a plus for the Cannons in this game. Faceoff specialist Andrew McMeekin made the most of his PLL debut, going an impressive 18 for 27 against Connor Farrell at the dot. However, Boston needs to have their Cannonballs ready in two weeks when they see the New York Atlas to avoid staying in last place in the East.
