The Philadelphia Wings went out to Sin City to handle business in this home-and-home series against the Las Vegas Desert Dogs. It was a competitive first quarter. The Desert Dogs getting their offense clicking early with help from Connor Kirst and Jack Hannah who has been Las Vegas’ most productive player through the course of the season. Hannah had a pair of goals and a pair of assists on the night. Jonathan Donville didn’t have a goal on the night but was responsible for 3 assists. Las Vegas would have two back-to-back goals late in the first quarter. Jacob Ruest found the back of the net and Kyle Killen scored a power play goal.

Wings become too much to handle
The Philadelphia Wings would kick this game off with 3 straight goals. In the second quarter Philly would have four unanswered goals. Joe Resetarits was Philly’s player of the game, finishing with 4 goals and 9 assists. He did a great job against what the Desert Dogs were throwing at him on defense, finding a way to counterpunch everything that was coming to him. This Philly offense was able to create their own shots, setting screens for one another and finding spacing on the floor. Holden Cattoni getting a hat trick on the night as well. Mitch Jones through the course of this game made a sick over the shoulder pass to Cattoni, who didn’t take much time to sling the ball to the back of the net.
The Aftermath
Well there you have it. The Philadelphia Wings put up 34 goals in this home-and-home series and only gave up 19 goals. Joe Resetarits put up 7 goals and 17 assists in these last two meetings. The team chemistry has really picked up for the Wings on both sides of the ball but the big eye test comes next week when they head out to face the undefeated Saskatchewan Rush who are 3-0. We shall see if they are ready for this big challenge.
