The Philadelphia Wings continue to bring the same energy from last week’s game in Georgia against this Swarm team. The Wings are hosting Georgia and putting them in a 9-2 hole by halftime. Phil Caputo, stepping up and answering the bell in these back-to-back games. Last week, Caputo recorded a hat trick and tonight he recorded 4 goals for a total of 7 goals in this home-and-home series. Captuo likes to hang down low and create havoc, picking up loose change and cashing it in for goals. Dalton Young also stood out to me with his playmaking ability. Last week, Young did a great job facilitating the ball with 4 assists; tonight, he scored a pair of goals using his vision and finding teammates open.
The play of the night in my opinion is when Dalton Young was in triple coverage and made a behind the back pass to Caputo for a goal. However, Joe Resetarits has been a monster throughout both of these games, with 11 points last week, and 10 points in this game. Resetarits was doing what he does best: scoring from all over the place especially when he gets into his mid-range sweet spot on the left side of the floor. Following this second straight win over Georgia, the Wings will travel to Vancouver next week to face the Warriors. If this Wings team can pull out a win in Vancouver, and get help from other teams in Week 21, they might find themselves making the postseason.

MacIntosh swarms in on Wings, but Deacan is Knott playing around
In the first half, Philly had the Swarm’s number. Deacan Knott would get the start between the pipes for the Wings. I watched Knott through practice, seeing him in his zone. Come game time, you could see why he was ready to get his start. Knott stopped 41 out of 54 shots for the game, showing Philly and the Wings they have a great netminder for the future.
However, this Georgia team made some big adjustments on the defensive side, especially in the fourth quarter. The Swarm put the Wings in a lot of double coverages and played more physical defense, giving Philly a hard time making plays on offense. Georgia would score nine goals in the fourth quarter, with four of those goals coming from Jordan MacIntosh. MacIntosh was getting to the open scoring lanes and making the best of it.
Georgia would make some nice long stretch passes, scoring in transition. Lyle Thompson toying with Philly’s defense down low, either by beating the one-on-one coverages, or when realizing he has the full attention of the Wings’ defense, making passes to his brother Miles who would be wide open. The Swarm tried to make a huge comeback; however, they just ran out of time. We shall see how this Swarm team responds, with Buffalo making their way down to Georgia in the final week. The Swarm need a win, or a ton of help from other teams if they lose, to make the postseason.
