Major League Soccer has officially unveiled the complete roster for the 2026 MLS All-Star Game presented by Chime, highlighting many of the league’s biggest stars, breakout young players, and several standout performers from this summer’s FIFA World Cup.
The annual showcase will take place on Wednesday, July 29 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, as the MLS All-Stars face the best of LIGA MX in one of North America’s premier club exhibition events.
This year’s squad reflects the continued growth of MLS on the global stage, featuring 13 players who participated in the 2026 FIFA World Cup representing eight different nations. Among the headliners are Vancouver Whitecaps midfielder Sebastian Berhalter, FC Dallas striker Petar Musa, Toronto FC defender Richie Laryea, and U.S. Men’s National Team goalkeeper Matt Freese, all of whom impressed on soccer’s biggest stage before earning All-Star recognition.
The roster also showcases several internationally recognized veterans currently starring in MLS, including Lionel Messi, Thomas Müller, Son Heung-Min, Rodrigo De Paul, Evander, Carles Gil, and Hany Mukhtar, giving fans one of the league’s most talent-rich All-Star squads in recent memory.
Charlotte FC, serving as this year’s host club, will enjoy strong representation with U.S. Men’s National Team captain Tim Ream joined by midfielders Pep Biel and Ashley Westwood. Ream’s selection is particularly notable, marking his second MLS All-Star appearance and his first since 2011. The 15-year gap ties the largest span between All-Star selections in league history.
One of the biggest stories from the announcement is the youth movement throughout the roster. Eighteen players earned their first MLS All-Star selection, including Commissioner Don Garber’s choice of Julian Hall, the 18-year-old Red Bull New York forward who became the youngest player in league history to record a hat trick earlier this season. Hall enters the All-Star Game with nine goals and four assists, continuing his rapid rise through the MLS development pathway.
Real Salt Lake midfielder Zavier Gozo also made history by becoming the first player ever selected as both an MLS NEXT All-Star and an MLS All-Star, further highlighting the league’s growing investment in player development. Overall, 10 members of the roster previously competed in MLS NEXT Pro, emphasizing the increasing success of MLS’s developmental pipeline.
Nashville SC leads all clubs with four selections after its record-setting campaign atop the Supporters’ Shield standings. Goalkeeper Brian Schwake, defender Andy Najar, midfielder Hany Mukhtar, and forward Sam Surridge were all rewarded for the club’s outstanding first half of the season.
The 2026 MLS All-Star roster also reflects the league’s international diversity, with players representing 15 nationalities across six continents, further demonstrating MLS’ continued evolution into one of the world’s most globally diverse leagues.
With established superstars, World Cup heroes, rising Homegrown talents, and future international stars all sharing the field, the 2026 MLS All-Star Game promises to be another showcase of how far Major League Soccer has progressed both domestically and internationally.
