Things started out in Ottawa with the Black Bears setting the tone of this game. They went up 4-0 early and led 9-4 in the third quarter. However, Philadelphia scored seven unanswered goals for an 11-9 lead. It’s the fourth straight game that the Black Bears have allowed their opponent to go on a scoring run of six or more goals. But even as things looked to get out of control, Ottawa came roaring back in the fourth quarter, scoring 7 goals to win 16-12.
Jeff Teat put up 11 points (2 goals and 9 assists), showing great vision on the floor. Reilly O’Connor had seven points (3 goals and 4 assists), and Rob Hellyer added six points (4 goals and 2 assists). Hellyer currently leads the NLL in scoring. The Black Bears even their record at 2-2, and get ready to head on the road to face the Oshawa FireWolves in Week 6.

Brennan O’Neill Taking His Game To Another Level Against Black Bears
Brennan O’Neill was leveling up in this game! When Philly got into an offensive set, O’Neill was able to do what he wanted. He put up back-to-back power play goals, getting things rocking and rolling. O’Neill finished with an eight-point night: 6 goals and 2 assists. Scoring from distance, making great cuts to the net, and drawing double teams, allowing him to counterattack by finding the open teammate to score the goal. Eric Fannell had two goals and two assists on the night, continuing his steady play. Joe Resetarits added six assists, while Dalton Young had a goal and four assists. Where the Wings struggled was in transition play, managing just one goal and one assist. It’s back to the drawing board for Philly as they get ready for a rematch with Rochester in Week 7.
